A trip to the Krka National Park – the magic of waterfalls and wild nature

If you are looking for a trip away from the beach that offers beautiful natural scenery, history and the possibility of refreshment, be sure to visit Krka National Park – one of the most beautiful natural parks in Croatia. Where is Krka located? The park is located approximately 60 km south of Biograd, which means only an hour’s drive by car. It is well marked and accessible from several entrances – the most popular is Skradin, from where you can take a boat to the waterfalls. What awaits you there? The biggest attraction of the park is Skradinski buk – a cascading waterfall with emerald water, surrounded by lush vegetation. It is a place that will amaze every visitor with its power and beauty. The park is also known for its wooden walkways that will take you safely through the entire area – past waterfalls, lakes and views of the Krka River. Along the way, you can learn more about the history of the mills, rural life and unique fauna. Can I swim there? Swimming is no longer allowed right next to the Skradinski beech in order to protect nature. But in other parts of the Krka river (e.g. in the Roško Slape) refreshment can be allowed during the summer season. We recommend following the current rules before visiting. Practical information Why Krka? Krka National Park is an ideal trip for families, couples and individuals. You will combine a walk in nature, beautiful views, refreshment by the water and a trip that you will remember for a long time.
